Should I use Stellanza or Joy?
Choose Joy if the wedding website and the invitations are the job. Joy gives you 600+ website templates, hundreds of digital invitations, unlimited guests, online RSVPs and a registry with zero-fee cash funds, all free, and it is one of the few products in this category where each partner gets their own login rather than sharing a password.
Choose Stellanza if you need to seat people, track money, or work in a language other than English. Joy lists no seating chart, no budget tool and no checklist among its features — it publishes budget articles and downloadable templates instead. Stellanza has a drag-and-drop seating chart that prints as a booklet, tent cards and an entrance poster, a budget that tracks estimated against actual cost per category, a checklist that starts with twenty tasks dated from your wedding day, and an interface in twelve languages. Where Joy is clearly better
Joy's wedding website is the best free one in this comparison, and it is not close: 600+ templates against Stellanza's single shareable page with five sections. If you want a proper multi-page site with your story, travel details, a photo gallery and a schedule, Joy does that and Stellanza does not.
Joy's free plan also has no guest limit, where Stellanza's stops at 50, and its digital invitations are included free in large numbers. It has a gift registry with zero-fee cash funds, which Stellanza has no equivalent for. And it gives each partner their own editor account, which neither Stellanza nor The Knot does yet.
Where Stellanza is clearly better
Joy does not list a seating chart or table planner anywhere among its tools, and for many couples the seating plan is the single hardest part of the whole wedding. Stellanza's is a drag-and-drop floor plan with round and rectangular tables, the dance floor, the bar and the head table, seat-level assignment, rules that keep families together and declared conflicts apart, and an export that produces a printed booklet with one page per table, fold-out table tent cards and an A1 entrance poster.
Joy also has no budget tool and no interactive checklist — it publishes articles and downloadable templates for both. Stellanza tracks estimated against actual cost for every expense across nineteen categories, folds in a per-guest catering estimate as replies arrive, and seeds a twenty-task checklist with due dates counted back from the wedding date.
And Joy's couple-facing product is English-first. Stellanza's interface, guest-facing RSVP pages and printed exports are all published in twelve languages, with seven currencies including the Romanian leu.
The obvious combination
Because the gaps are opposite, using both is a genuinely good answer rather than a diplomatic one: Joy for the wedding website, the digital invitations and the registry, Stellanza for the seating chart, the budget and the printed plans your caterer and coordinator need on the day.
The cost of that split is the usual one — the guest list ends up in two places. Joy exports the list as a spreadsheet and Stellanza imports CSV with a column-mapping step, so pick one as the source of truth and re-export when the numbers move.
