Privacy Policy

At Stellanza, we take your privacy seriously. This policy outlines how we process your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Controller

Stellanza is operated by Gavris Antoniu, an individual. Gavris Antoniu is the data controller for personal information collected through Stellanza. For questions about your personal data or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@stellanza.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect: (a) Identity Data (name, email); (b) Wedding Data (guest names, seating plans, budget); (c) Technical Data (IP address, browser type); (d) Usage Data (how you use our site).

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on: (a) Your consent (for example, for wedding ideas and offers by email); (b) The necessity to perform a contract with you; (c) Compliance with legal obligations; (d) Our legitimate business interests (for example, getting-started tips for new accounts).

4. Data Subject Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to: (a) Access your data; (b) Rectify inaccurate data; (c) Request erasure ('right to be forgotten'); (d) Restrict processing; (e) Data portability; (f) Object to processing.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

6. Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell your data. We share data only with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, payment processors) who comply with GDPR standards through Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for the platform to function and analytical cookies to improve our service. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

8. International Transfers

If we transfer data outside the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the safeguards permitted by the GDPR is implemented.

9. Sign in with Google

Google sign-in is optional; you can also register with email and a password. When you choose Google, Stellanza receives your Google account identifier, email address and verification status, and, when available, your name and profile picture URL. We verify Google's ID token to create or sign into your Stellanza account and may link an existing account with the same verified email. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar or Contacts.

10. Use and sharing of Google account data

We use these details to authenticate you, display your profile, secure and support your account, and understand registration and sign-in activity. Cloudflare hosts the service and account database. Account identifiers, names, email addresses and usage events may be processed by PostHog for analytics and diagnostics; when operational notifications are configured, new-account names and emails are sent through Telegram to our team. We do not sell Google account data or use it for advertising targeting. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.

11. Storage and protection

Your Google identifier, email, verification status, name and profile picture URL are stored with your Stellanza account for as long as needed to provide it, subject to the retention rules above. Google's ID token is verified during sign-in; this integration does not store Google access or refresh tokens. We use HTTPS and authenticated access controls to protect account data. Analytics and operational records are also covered by this policy's retention and international-transfer provisions.

12. Your choices and deletion

You can remove the Stellanza connection in your Google Account connections. Removing it does not automatically delete your Stellanza account, previously stored data or an existing Stellanza session; sign out separately. To request access, correction, removal of the Google link, or deletion of your account and associated data, email privacy@stellanza.com. We verify requests and delete data no longer needed, except records required for legal obligations or legitimate security purposes. Arrange another sign-in method before disconnecting if you wish to keep using Stellanza. Google processes information under its own Privacy Policy. We will update this policy and request consent before using Google data for a new purpose.

13. Emails we send

We send three kinds of email. (a) Account emails: sign-in and verification codes, password resets, RSVP notifications to the couple and photo album export notices. They are needed to provide the service, so their legal basis is the performance of our contract with you; you can switch RSVP notifications off in Settings. (b) Getting-started tips: after you sign up, you receive up to two emails in your first days (around day 1 and day 3), each suggesting one next step in planning your wedding, based on what you have already set up in Stellanza. We send them on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping new users make use of the service they signed up for. They are sent only to accounts created after we introduced them, and not once you have completed the getting-started steps or after your wedding date. (c) Wedding ideas and offers: marketing emails that we send only with your consent, as described in the next section.

14. Consent to wedding ideas and offers

We send wedding ideas and offers only if you explicitly opt in: through an optional, unticked checkbox when you sign up, a one-time question on your dashboard, or the switch in Settings or on the email preferences page. We record when you gave consent, where you gave it and which wording you were shown, so that we can demonstrate your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawing it does not affect emails already sent.

15. Unsubscribing and email preferences

Every getting-started tip and every wedding ideas and offers email has two links at the bottom, “Email preferences” and “Unsubscribe from all”. Both open your email preferences page, which needs no sign-in. There you can switch getting-started tips and wedding ideas and offers on or off separately, or unsubscribe from all of them with one click. The one-click unsubscribe built into mail apps such as Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail is also supported. In the app, you can manage these emails under Settings → Notifications. Unsubscribing does not stop the account emails needed to provide the service.

16. Data used for emails and how long we keep it

For these emails we use your email address, your display name (your first name appears in the greeting), your language setting (so that we write to you in your language) and, to choose a getting-started tip, your planning progress: which getting-started steps you have completed and your wedding date. We record which tips we have sent you so that none is sent twice. Our analytics provider, PostHog, records that a tip was sent and, through tagged links, which email brought you back to Stellanza, so that we can measure whether tips are useful. Emails are sent through Cloudflare Email Sending, part of the Cloudflare infrastructure that hosts the service. We keep the record of your consent and the record of sent tips while your account exists; both are deleted when you delete your account.
