Stellanza

Stellanza vs WeddingWire

WeddingWire is the most tool-generous of the big American platforms: its seating chart is free, works in a browser, and prints — which is more than Zola or The Knot offer. Stellanza is a European planner in twelve languages built around the same problem.

This is the closest head-to-head on this site, because both products take the seating plan seriously. Facts checked against WeddingWire's own tool pages on 3 September 2026.

Should I use Stellanza or WeddingWire?

Choose WeddingWire if you want a free seating chart and a vendor marketplace in one account and you are marrying in one of the countries it covers. WeddingWire's seating tool is genuinely free, drag-and-drop, and prints, emails or exports as a plan or a list; its guest list is free too and exports addresses for your stationer; and behind both sits one of the largest vendor marketplaces with reviews in the industry.

Choose Stellanza if you need digital invitations, an interface in your own language, or a printed seating pack rather than a printed chart. WeddingWire has no digital invitation design, and its country editions cover Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, the UK and Ireland among others — none for Romania or anywhere else in Eastern Europe. Stellanza sends a personalised invitation and RSVP link to each guest, runs in twelve languages and seven currencies, and exports the seating plan as a booklet with one page per table, fold-out tent cards and an A1 entrance poster. Stellanza has no vendor marketplace and no registry.

Where WeddingWire is clearly better

The marketplace, and the fact that everything is free with no guest cap. WeddingWire lists a very large number of wedding businesses with reviews, which Stellanza does not attempt at all, and its guest list, seating chart, budget and checklist are free without a guest limit. Stellanza's free plan stops at 50 guests.

WeddingWire also has a gift registry and native apps for iPhone and Android; Stellanza has neither, and runs in the browser only.

Where Stellanza is clearly better

Digital invitations. WeddingWire gives you a wedding website with RSVP collection but no invitation design; Stellanza sends each guest a personalised link that greets them by name and collects their reply, meal choice, dietary notes and plus-ones, with a free invitation designer on the marketing site for the artwork itself.

What comes out of the seating chart is the second difference. Both let you drag guests onto tables; WeddingWire prints, emails or exports the result as a plan or a list. Stellanza's export is a pack for the day itself: an A4 booklet with a cover, an overview and one page per table, fold-out tent cards to stand on the tables, and an A1 poster for the entrance, in four themes and in your language.

And WeddingWire has no country edition for Central or Eastern Europe. Stellanza's interface, guest-facing RSVP pages and PDF exports are published in twelve languages including Romanian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Serbian, Macedonian and Albanian.

Honest note on the free seating chart

If a free browser-based seating chart is all you need and you are marrying in a country WeddingWire covers, WeddingWire will do it, and it will not cost you anything at any guest count. That is a real advantage over Stellanza's 50-guest free tier, and pretending otherwise would make the rest of this page less believable.

Stellanza also publishes a seating chart tool that needs no account at all, on the free tools part of this site, which produces the same printed booklet. If you only want the plan and the printout, you can have it without signing up for anything.

WeddingWire's seating chart is free at any guest count. Stellanza's free plan covers 50 guests, and its no-account seating tool covers the printout for anyone.

Frequently asked questions

Is WeddingWire's seating chart really free?
Yes. WeddingWire's own page states: "Yes, the WeddingWire Seating Chart tool is totally free!" You do have to create an account, and you can print, email or export the result as a visual plan or a list.
Does WeddingWire have digital invitations?
No. WeddingWire offers a wedding website with RSVP collection, but no digital invitation design. Stellanza sends each guest a personalised invitation link with the RSVP attached.
Is WeddingWire available in Romania?
No. WeddingWire and its sibling brands under The Knot Worldwide run editions for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, the UK, Ireland and India. There is no edition for Romania or anywhere else in Eastern Europe.
Which seating chart prints better?
WeddingWire prints, emails or exports the chart as a plan or a list. Stellanza exports a booklet with one page per table, fold-out table tent cards and an A1 entrance poster, in four themes and in twelve languages. If you need something to hand the caterer and something to stand on the tables, Stellanza's export is more complete.
